About AffectiveAI Research

A question before a promise.

AffectiveAI Research is an applied research programme on how intelligence relates, acts and can be governed in human contexts.

We begin with a simple conviction: when AI systems stop being isolated tools and enter decisions, services and sustained relationships, the question is not only what they can generate. It is which conditions make their behaviour bounded, understandable and reviewable.

Why it exists

From principle to verifiable behaviour.

The conversation around AI has progressed through principles, rights, risk and oversight. All of it is indispensable. But a policy only becomes real when it can translate into applicable limits, observable signals, possibilities for intervention and proportionate evidence of what occurred.

Research exists to study that transition: not to declare a finished answer, but to build an examinable question, a conceptual architecture and explicit conditions of refutation.

Not only the model. Not only the output.

Interaction
A situation composed of person, system, context, memory, organisational policy, uncertainty and human oversight.
The turn
The minimum unit in which an input, authorised context, policy, response or action and a reviewable effect come together.
Governability
The ability to declare limits, intervene gradually and retain evidence without displacing the final authority of people and responsible organisations.

How we work

Research that declares its scope.

  1. We formulate. We turn an institutional concern into a hypothesis clear enough to be discussed.
  2. We delimit. We state the object, the relevant signals, uncertainty and what the approach does not attempt to infer.
  3. We contrast. We design routes for criticism, empirical contrast and independent review before presenting a conclusion.
  4. We publish with status. We distinguish a question, a specification, a working material and a result that has actually been tested.

A foundational relationship

Research keeps its judgement. Infrastructure assumes its responsibility.

AffectiveAI Research is the scientific, philosophical and human foundation of tuucke. Research studies how intelligence should relate to people; tuucke builds infrastructure that governs how intelligence is allowed to act.

The relationship does not turn a hypothesis into a commercial promise, nor turn a product into scientific validation. Each part keeps its own responsibility and evidentiary threshold.

We work from Logroño, La Rioja, with an international vocation for dialogue. We invite academic teams, institutions, regulators and specialists to examine the question, its limits and the most rigorous ways to try to refute it.
